Over 250 call outs for our team this year so far
Many thanks to the Felixstowe Crib League who donated £235 to us as their chosen charity.
The presentation was at their yearly awards evening.
We would like to pass on our condolences to the family of Eileen Walker, who recently passed away, our team attended Eileen a number of times, and she will be remembered as a lovely and funny lady, who was very proud of her Manx heritage and the fact she was 99 years old.
We would also like to thank the family who asked for donations to made in Eileens name to our group as we went to her in her time of need.
An amazing £180 was raised in Eileen's memory.
The team were tasked to over 160 calls in the first 6 months by the East of England Ambulance Service, the main types of calls were Breathing Problems, Cardiac Arrests, Falls & Chest pains with March being our busiest month.
The Orwell Connection Choir recently held a concert to help raise funds for us, the afternoon concert held at The Felixstowe Trades & Labour club, was very well attended and the choir were amazing, and we are very pleased to announce they raised an incredible £700 for our group.
In the first 3 months of this year our group has been tasked to a total of 94 jobs by the East of England Ambulance Service.
The main types of calls we have been asked to attend to have been Falls, Unconscious/Fainting, Cardiac arrests, Breathing problems and Chest pains .
Many thanks to Michael Crisp, the man behind the "Felixstowe Goodsam responders" facebook page, who has kindly donated a defibrillator to our team so that when a team member is not on duty with us they can still attend Goodsam alerts
We would like to thank Carol Bennet from the Rainbow Team room in Felixstowe who held a raffle recently and had kindly raised £155 for our group.
The money is very much appreciated and will enable us to keep supporting the local community
